Tokyo :Japan's finance minister said the government will do whatever it takes to keep the economy afloat such as issuing more bonds to fund stimulus measure and keep the credit crunch from worsening as stock prices hover near 26-year lows.
Bonds yields rose on his remarks, which stoked worries about a possible increase in government dedbt issuance as ruling party lawmakers talk of another stimulus package to support an economy facing its worst recession in modern history.
